Generali Česká pojišťovna
"Morphology and connectivity"
For the Generali Česká pojišt'ovna insurance company, we designed a study of exterior branch signage for various locations within their wide branch network of more than 600 outlets.
The design includes a concept of solutions for all types of buildings, sizes of branches and their different importance for the investor.
In addition to projections and traditional signage in the form of individual letters and various types of panels, we also included exterior features and potential landscaping to enhance the surroundings of the branches, such as benches, garabage cans, bike racks, planters or individual pylons. We have also added small items such as dog bowls.

Unique memorable shapes
During the design process, we worked with shapes and colours that belong to Generali worldwide. The lion and its wings, or rather its cut-outs. The distinctive red. And complementary colours. More subtle, adapted to the building or the place. Unique workmanship, more valuable materials.
With a sense of the architecture of the place.
And so several concepts were created with a different view of the exterior than the usual.
The distinctive wingtip-shaped protrusion sign brings a truly exceptional potential for unmistakable brand recognition in a completely unique way through shape. We have transferred several variations, along with panels and individual letters, to a variety of different buildings to create a collection that can be used virtually anywhere.
Variants with layers and shapes from the wing in a square rendition are admittedly less distinctive, but they also offer the opportunity of differentiation.

Concept development
Head and hand. Pencil and paper. Or designer markers. That's how the first ideas were born. They were then processed into sketches and visualizations and then into variant solutions for all the concepts presented. All based on the vision and story of slightly different interiors. The ideas also included a material technical feasibility study with drawings and shape testing using 3D printing, which helped us to test the unconventional projections and then demonstrate them live in the design phase on material models.

Urban furniture and public space
Brands should consider that their brand and communication culture starts on the street.
This is helped not only by signage in the form of panels, letters or displays, but also by the overall grasp of the exterior and its possibilities. That's why we have designed a range of complementary exterior elements for GČP, whether it be form-fitting benches, garbage cans, bike racks or planters. Collections that can be linked together and combinable. At the same time, we see the overall importance of public space, where we can also help with the tasteful design of bus stops, OOH carriers or customer kiosks.
