Goodlunch

„just take a bite...”

A simple bite inspired us to create a concept based on linking this basic human ability with shaping of a cunstruction element.

Concrete, which became the timeless inspiration in this concept, served us as the basic building material from which the prefabricated piece with the "bitten out" centre is created. This gave the basis for the interior design of the Goodlunch - Port7 restaurant in Prague's Holešovice.

Deep overlap

Let's give the space some reference. Something special. At the very least, make it a great addition to the whole building, was one of the investor's first words. The developer also liked the idea.

And that's what the design ended up doing brilliantly. Connecting the idea of the bite with the overlap to the history of the site, a proposal with an extremely profound idea was created. We came up with a novel and bold idea to give the interior a clear imprint and uniqueness. To link the Goodlunch brand to the location where this restaurant will be operated, giving the space a clear overlap and legacy.

Bite development

Bite has become an inseparable element in the design of the entire interior and reminds us of the time when a series of precast concrete structures were being built in the premises of the current Port7 location. We created one such precast and translated it into several material forms and functional overlaps. This created one piece with many possibilities, which is further transformed and allows the interior to deliver functional, decorative as well as acoustic components made up of one BITE.

Despite the investor's misunderstanding and the subsequent removal of this most key element of the entire interior from the implementation, we continued to develop this element internally. This resulted in a unique building stone in many faces with many possibilities. BITE was created...

An element that we will offer for wider use. We believe it will find its way into the world and will soon decorate many interiors. Both commercial and residential.

Interconnection of elements

For the Goodlunch - Port7 restaurant concept, we designed a number of individual elements through seating benches, tables, acoustic elements or dividing screens. For the exterior, the signage is in line with the architecture of the Port7 building. The gastro islands are also strongly connected to the space and the brand in terms of material and brand.

Such a connection is key to maintaining the functionality of the concept. In order to feel comfortable in such an individual interior, everything must fit together and ideally be fully integrated. The subsequent development of all elements, including the selection or alternation of materials and technologies used in the process, is normally part of such a realisation.
