Kind of a different energy...
The culture of energy suppliers in the Czech market is not entirely sound. We wanted to change that, at least in the visual level of the exteriors that should lure customers in.
As part of the tender process, we designed complete branding, signage and complementary exterior elements for Innogy. Our solution aimed to change the negative perception of energy suppliers and strengthen the brand's relationship with its core values, at least in terms of motivation "from the outside".
We were rewarded with a spontaneous enthusiastic response from the client, for whom our solution was highly innovative, but ultimately too futuristic for their traditional approach and way of working. A pity, we think it would have lit up our streets in a pleasant way.


The symbolism of energy
and the sun
The design is based on 2 fundamental pillars that are united by a common vision and message. The sun is an elemental source of energy, reminiscent of power and nature. The button symbolises the switch to a reliable energy supplier, evoking the ON/OFF effect and the choice between different options. The combination of these symbols brings a feeling of warmth, light and sustainability.
In the design we use organic shapes, different layers and light. This helps us with an immediate connection to the brand, while establishing an energy enhancing emotional connection with the audience. We visually unify exterior signage in a variety of building types, supporting the company's core values and future orientation.
In parallel, we also place an emphasis on "on-street" elements, whether it be furnishings or the vision of a future self-service solution.
